A short documentary for the National Trust exploring what it means to grow older in busy cities.
Margaret, a local of Hackney in London, invites us to join her 'Recycled Teenagers', a group of retirees using a National Trust property to create community in an often isolating city. Seen by millions online through social media and played throughout Picturehouse cinemas across the UK, this film is a window into a different side of the National Trust's work.
I directed the project, which involved researching the National Trust property and conducting interviews with Margaret, as well as leading the shoots, edit, post and making tea for some new senior friends.
